Arlo Parks has shared a new song called "Black Dog" and it's a truly beautiful offering even if its inspiration is heartbreaking.

According to the young singer, the new track is about "the feeling of helplessness that comes along with watching a loved one suffer." It's accompanied by a video directed by Molly Burdett, which stars Parks herself alongside images of people in a series of vulnerable and emotional settings.

"It's supposed to make people who are struggling feel less isolated," Parks says of the song. "And start a conversation surrounding the prevalence of mental health issues in today's world."
