HAIM is here with good news. They just shared their new song "I Know Alone," and they've decided not to delay their new album Women In Music Pt. III as much as they anticipated.

The new song was originally inspired by the band's feelings of loneliness after coming from tour, but the lyrics really do take on a new meaning as so many are feeling isolated because of the ongoing health crisis. The track is accompanied by a video, directed remotely by Jake Schreier, who actually directed HAIM's "Want You Back" video in 2017 and has also worked with Kanye West, Chance the Rapper and Francis and the Lights (Francis Farewell Starlite), the latter of whom actually choreographed the new "I Know Alone" video.

"'I Know Alone' was always going to be the next song we released, but it feels eerily appropriate given what’s going on in the world right now," says HAIM. "Things were so crazy in the beginning when everything started happening that we didn’t think it felt appropriate to put out a new record. Now that things have settled a bit in this quarantined life, we’ve talked about it more and think we could all use new music during this time so we’ve decided to move up the album to June 26."

HAIM had originally planned to release their new album this month, but after the quarantine started, they seemed to be hinting at a late summer release, so this earlier release should be welcome news for fans. They'll also be performing tonight (April 29) on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert.
