Lady Gaga made her triumphant return on Friday with her new single "Stupid Love."
The new track arrived today with a video directed by Daniel Askill. And it finds Gaga perhaps calling back to some of her earlier material, experimenting with a much bigger and more vibrant aesthetic and sound than she did with her last album Joanne, which was somewhat of a left turn for the pop star as she delved into more of a country space.
In an interview with Zane Lowe on Beats 1, Gaga acknowledged "Stupid Love" is the first preview of her upcoming album, her sixth overall. She said the process has been "very emotional" and that she "cried constantly," while also promising the record will inspired a lot of dancing.
There's no word yet on when the album will arrive.
