Norwegian rapper Eivind Øygarden (better known as Ivan Ave) has dropped quite the jam with his new single "Triple Double Love."

The lush, extra funky, very '90s-inspired track arrived this past week with an accompanying video directed by Mohamed Chakiri. And it's a perfect contrast, as the song itself is intimate and refined, but the video, which is somewhat of a short film, follows a more humorous angle, as Ivan takes on the role of a new age sports psychologist named Dr. Dooblé, who helps a guy struggling with his basketball skills.

"What does it really mean to be a team player? In love, in business, in art," says Ivan Ave of the new song, which is the first he self-produced. "I dedicate this song to the James Milners of the world. To professional fouls, bruised knees and ankles. I hope that by performing this on tour, I remind myself that I wouldn’t still be playing the game if it wasn’t for my team. My dribbles are dope, but I also need to D up!"

The new song showcases Ivan's new direction in his music and it's a preview of his upcoming album Double Goodbyes, which is said to offer a very eclectic sound, as he diverts aways from his past sample-heavy material to producing the majority of the record himself.
