Normani is proving there's still plenty of star power to come out of Fifth Harmony. And she's more than cemented her place in the spotlight with today's release of her new single "Motivation."

The thrilling new cut arrived Friday with an accompanying video, directed by Janet Jackson and Kendrick Lamar collaborator Dave Meyers as well as Daniel Russell, whose work includes directing for Cardi B and Offset.

The video for "Motivation" is a flashback to Normani's life in 2008, watching 106 & Park on BET and daydreaming about having her own turn on the show. That's when the video flashes forward to the present, as the Fifth Harmony alum makes clear it's no longer just a dream.

Normani was one of Variance's must-see acts at Lollapalooza earlier this month. And the new song follows her collaborations with the likes of Sam Smith, Khalid and 6LACK, with "Motivation" marking her first true solo effort, sans guest appearance.
