Today, we have an early listen of rising artist Matt Taylor's new song "no matter what i say."

It's a beautiful, gripping new offering, premiering today on Variance ahead of its official release on Wednesday. Underscored by a brooding piano, the stripped back cut leaves Taylor's mesmerizing vocals front and center.

"I was getting frustrated with myself, I would replay situations over in my head trying to think what would have changed if I had acted differently in situations," recalls Taylor. "I just wanted a song that I didn’t have to worry about sounding 'cool' or 'empowering.' I wanted a moment where I could allow myself to be a bit pathetic."

Originally from Dublin, Ireland, Taylor now based in Brighton. This new single follows his recent standout "Godspeed," and it comes as he is expected to release a new EP on April 13.
