Rising artist Baylee Barrett has shared a video for spellbinding debut single "Good Time," and it's premiering now on Variance.
The 25-year-old singer is a native of Lubbock, Texas, but she's now based in Los Angeles. The song evokes an earnest emotional rush the way Phoebe Bridgers and Courtney Barnett do with their music. And it's not at all difficult to see Barrett sharing a lane with the likes of such talent.
"'Good Time,' in a broad stroke, is about closure and all the little nonsensical things we do to find it," says Barrett of the song. "Heartbreak isn’t a game, we all know, but for some reason I’m still dead set on winning."
Watch the video for "Good Time" below and definitely stay tuned for more from Baylee Barrett.
