Valley Latini is out with a new song this week, but the New York-based artist is giving us an early listen.

The singer and performer is premiering her spellbinding new single "Blue Moon" today on Variance. It's a moody and personal offering, which follows her 2018 standout "Pay My Rent."

“I was always inspired by big ballads, and I always wanted to write one," says Latini. "I was listening to a lot of Lykke Li at the time. This song is mainly about being lonely in love. The song started in my loft apartment in Bushwick, Brooklyn… I played the whole thing on my Korg SV1 and recorded the demo in to Logic Pro."

She continues: "It started as a demo, and then I took it to producer Harper James, who helped me take my vision to the next level. This is the first track that I feel the most authentic and truest to who I am as an artist out of all of the music that I’ve released in the past. This is definitely my most vulnerable song to date."

In addition to her new music, Latini is a stripper who has become an advocate for eliminating stigmas about the occupation and has ultimately sought to normalize the work as a respectable means of making a living. In fact, she was on hand for the premiere of Jennifer Lopez's Hustlers and was featured in some of the related press discussing the movie and vouching for its inspiration and the associated lifestyle.

Hear "Blue Moon" below and find it everywhere on Thursday.
