'True Detective' Cast Keeps Growing: Brandon Flynn Joins Season 3

The cast of HBO's True Detective keeps growing.

Brandon Flynn of Netflix's 13 Reasons Why has joined the cast for the upcoming third season. According to Deadline, he has signed on for a recurring role, a character named Ryan Peters.

Meanwhile, Michael Graziadei, who most recently appeared in Amazon's Good Girls Revolt, will also recur next season. No further details about either characters was immediately available.

As we previously mentioned, True Detective season 3 will center on a crime in the middle of the Ozarks, with a deep mystery playing out over three separate time periods, spanning several decades.

Flynn and Graziadei join previously revealed stars, including Mahershala Ali, Carmen Ejogo, Stephen Dorff, Scoot McNairy, Mamie Gummer and Ray Fisher. As with season 1, creator Nic Pizzolatto has written the majority of the new installment, which Jeremy Saulnier will direct alongside Pizzolatto,

The new season of True Detective is expected to premiere in 2019.
