Among the many things SZA can celebrate lately, she has earned her first platinum single.
She revealed Wednesday the Travis Scott collaboration had reached platinum status, sharing a screenshot of the notice from the Recording Industry Association of America, which certified the song on Sept. 20.
"I used to hum around the house [and] my ex would tell me shut up," SZA recalled in a tweet announcing the achievement. "LOL BYEE NIGGUHHH🙋🏾😂."
The platinum news comes as SZA has been on tour this fall promoting her incredible recent album Ctrl, on which "Love Galore" appears. She was also nominated for Best New Artist at the MTV Video Music Awards and is enjoying a well-deserved boost on her Maroon 5 collaboration "What Lovers Do," which has climbed to No. 23 on the U.S. charts.
