After months of relative silence, it appears Kanye West is hard at work on new music—in the mountains of Wyoming.

According to TMZ, Ye has spent the past week at the mountaintop retreat, where he also spent two weeks in April. That may explain his absence at last week's Met Gala, with wife Kim Kardashian attending solo.

Meanwhile, West also deactivated his Twitter and Instagram accounts last week, perhaps a sign he is somewhat isolating himself in the process.

Citing multiple sources with knowledge of West's intentions, TMZ noted the mysterious retreat isn't an indication of personal or marital issues but is rather "all about creating music."

West's previous album The Life of Pablo arrived last year.
