Passion Pit frontman Michael Angelakos has created a new company aiming to support fellow musicians with with legal, educational and healthcare services.

The newly launched Wishart Group has yet to be formally announced, but Mashable reported Monday it has already raised $250 million, with influential names in music and tech contributing partial funding to the project. It is said to be an "artist research" program specifically focused on mental health, something personal for Angelakos, who was diagnosed with bipolar disorder 12 years ago.

As of Monday, Passion Pit has also released a new song "Inner Dialogue." Perhaps not coincidentally, the track as well as Angelakos' recent Christmas project, Merry Christmas, Mr. Fields, were all released by Frenchkiss Records and Wishart Music Publishing.
