Beyoncé is in Nashville and she is expected to take the stage Wednesday night at the Country Music Association Awards.

Citing multiple sources, People reported today the singer will indeed be performing, although details were limited. iHeartRadio subsequently confirmed the report.

While it's unclear if Bey will be performing solo or with other artists, the CMA Awards have been teasing for days that "country music history" will be made during the first eight minutes of the show, which starts at 8 p.m. EST on ABC.

Beyoncé might not fit the traditional mold of a country artist, but her Lemonade song "Daddy Lessons" was praised earlier this year for its country leanings. And her appearance wouldn't be without precedent, as Justin Timberlake joined Chris Stapleton at last year's CMAs for a show-stopping rendition of "Tennessee Whiskey" and "Drink You Away."

Tonight's confirmed performers include Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood, Kacey Musgraves, Reba McEntire, Eric Church, George Strait, Luke Bryan, Little Big Town, Tim McGraw, Chris Stapleton, Carrie Underwood, Brad Paisley and more.

A rep for Beyoncé did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
