Frank Ocean's long-awaited sophomore full-length Blonde is on track to debut at No. 1, which would give the singer his first chart-topper.
Industry insiders predict the album, which was released on Aug. 20, could finish the sales tracking week (this Thursday) with as many as 250,000 equivalent album units.
Ocean’s last album, 2012's Channel Orange, started at No. 2 with 131,000 copies sold in its first week. And similar to that album's iTunes exclusive release, Blonde is also exclusive to iTunes and Apple Music.
It's worth noting, unlike in 2012, Billboard now factors streaming data into its U.S. album charts.
