Future will perform at this Sunday's MTV Video Music Awards, the network confirmed Monday afternoon.
The Atlanta rapper is in the middle of the Summer Sixteen Tour with Drake, but there is a two-day break allowing him to perform at the VMAs, which are being held at New York's Madison Square Garden, before he flies back to Florida to continue the tour.
"My creativity comes from me being in the studio and from my past situations," Future says in promo video released today. “It’s about mastering a tone for me ... mastering a melody, mastering a style. It’s about becoming one with the beat. It’s about taking the beat places that the beat never thought it could go. My music is a diary. It carries volumes.”
