Mary J. Blige has confirmed she does in fact have a new Kanye West collaboration on the way—surprisingly, it's their first.
"I don't want to give up the name of the song yet, but the album is mostly complete," Blige said in a new interview with The Hollywood Reporter. "But I absolutely got a chance to work with the great Kanye West. And the song is crazy — I can't wait for people to hear it."
While there's no word on when the record is set to arrive, some reports suggest it could arrive by late summer, with the West-assisted track likely preceding the full-length.
As for that song, Blige said it "starts off with piano keys" and is "very dramatic in the beginning and it goes into a loud horn" before a "gigantic beat kicks in and I sing. He rhymes after my two verses." She adds: "It's incredible. He kills it. I wish I could give you the title, you’d flip but I just can’t do it yet."
Blige released her last album, London Sessions, in November 2014.
