ACL Teases fun., Grouplove For 2013

Ahead of Tuesday's lineup announcement, Austin City Limits Music Festival has teased some of the roster by placing a series of mysterious ads in local newspaper The Austin Chronicle's classifieds section this week. The ads reveal fun., Grouplove, Shovels & Rope and True Believers as performers during this year's two-weekend fest, which runs Oct. 4-6 and Oct. 11-13 in Austin's Zilker Park.

The ads, as first reported by the Hollywood Reporter, read: "For a little Fun. Call 555-ACL-FEST," "Looking for some Grouplove?," "Seeking True Believers. Worship with us! #ACLFEST" and "Zilker Supply Company: We have great deals on Shovels & Rope! #ACLFEST."

Considering ACL similarly teased their lineup last year via scratch lottery cards seen around local venues and businesses.

The full lineup will be announced on May 7 at 12:01 a.m. CST. General admission three-day and VIP passes for both festival weekends will go on sale on Tuesday as well via ACL's official website.

As we previously reported, Muse has confirmed that the band will be one of the festival's headliners.

UPDATE (5.4.13): Also added to the lineup: Haim, Jake Bugg, Junip, The Joy Formidable, Neko Case, Portugal. The Man, Smith Westerns, Not In The Face, Local Natives, Vintage Trouble. More to come.

There are also further hints hidden in the festival website's source code. Bands included: The Cure, Toro Y Moi, D'Angelo, Kaskade, Bear Mountain, Holly Williams, The Jon Spencer Blues Explosion, Shuggie Otis, Thao & The Get Down Stay Down...
