Late Friday it was revealed that Kendrick Lamar's debut album good kid, m.A.A.d city has now been certified Gold. Top Dawg Entertainment CEO, Anthony Tiffith, confirmed on Twitter that the set has already passed 500,000 units sold in about five weeks. And that number will only climb even more with his Drake-assisted track "Poetic Justice" expected to be the next single off the LP. Radio and TV are likely to favor the track as well.
According to HipHop-N-More, a video is already in the works for the track—which is produced by Scoop DeVille and samples Janet Jackson's "Any Time, Any Place."
For those who aren't already part of the half million, Lamar's album is available for purchase via Aftermath/Interscope.
