After its messy Feb. 13 release the subsequent April 1 arrival of its more polished version, Kanye West's new album The Life of Pablo has managed to make a debut at No. 1.

As we previously mentioned, the bulk of Pablo's numbers are coming from streaming, with Billboard confirming Friday the album moved over 90,000 album equivalent units by the end of the tracking week on Thursday.

With about 20,000 albums sold (higher than previously anticipated), mostly through West's website and Tidal, this marks the first time an album will reach No. 1 with more than half of its units generated through streaming.

Pablo is currently only available for purchase through Tidal and West's online store and there are no plans for a wider release to other outlets such as iTunes.
