Pop rock singer-songwriter Jon McLaughlin has announced plans to release a new album, but he's taking the PledgeMusic route this time. He announced on Tuesday night his campaign to raise funds for the followup to his 2012 record, Promises Promises. That record hit No. 113 on Billboard when it released.

Participants in the campaign could potentially hang out at the studio with the singer or receive a signed copy of the record when it releases, in addition to an invite to McLaughlin's private album release party. 10% of funds will also go to an organization called City Life Wheels, which teaches at-risk teens how to do automotive maintenance and fixes. Repaired cars are then sold to further fund the program.
