Having just wrapped his North American tour, it appears Bruno Mars may be set to perform for his biggest audience ever.
According to reports from the Los Angeles Times and the Associated Press, Mars is expected to headline the halftime at Super Bowl XLVIII, which is set for Feb. 2, 2014, at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, N.J.
This year's Beyoncé halftime show was certainly of the best in recent years, making up for a string of snoozers. Having Mars headline next year's event would be another win for the NFL.
Per sources with "knowledge of the matter," an official announcement may be made this Sunday at an NFL event in New York's Times Square. An NFL spokesman would not confirm the report, but joked that Janet Jackson and Miley Cyrus have been ruled out as performers.
