Chan Marshall (aka Cat Power) revealed Friday afternoon she will perform a concert to benefit protestors in Ferguson, Mo.

Slated for Sunday night (Aug. 24) at St. Louis rock club Firebird, the event will "go to help protestors get out of jail and any needed supplies and food for protestors."

Marshall told fans via Instagram she intends to perform additional benefit shows in the future. She also revealed a handful of new tour dates earlier this week.
