Only hours after revealing that Miley Cyrus will host this year's MTV Video Music Awards, the nominees have been announced.

Each category was shared Tuesday morning on Apple Music's Beats 1 radio; however, a technical glitch of some kind kept many from accessing the app during the announcement.

The likes of Beyoncé, Taylor Swift, Kendrick Lamar, The Weeknd, Mark Ronson and Bruno Mars, Ariana Grande, Florence + the Machine, Ed Sheeran, James Bay, Alt-J, Big Sean and others are among this year's contenders.

The show will air live at 9 p.m. on Aug. 30.
