Charli XCX and Jack Antonoff (aka Bleachers) have canceled the entire second leg of their joint tour, Charli and Jack Do America, which was scheduled to begin next month.

Antonoff said Friday on Facebook that he "was all geared up for leg 2 of the tour when we got a call from Charli’s camp that she couldn’t continue on the tour. Came as a bit of a shock to me." He went on to say that he doesn't like to cancel shows "unless I physically can’t walk on to the stage. I know how important these shows are to you guys – they mean everything to me. I wish there was something here that made more sense to all of us.”

Charli subsequently took to Facebook as well to explain that she has "personal reasons," including "the fact that I need to be creative." She said that because she has been on the road for an extended time without being able to make new music, it is "making me unhappy." She continued: "As an artist I need to move quickly and write a lot to not feel restless. Sometimes touring really puts me in this isolated world where I feel down and sad but primarily I struggle to multitask and write songs at the same time."

Some fans quickly criticized the songstress' reasoning. "I'm a huge fan but you literally do this all the time," one supporter said. "I seriously don't get why other artists can tour but this is such a reoccurring problem for you. I've been a ticket holder to about several different shows in Florida that you've cancelled over the years. It's a mess."

Another fan called the explanation "shitty," adding: "I understand your need to create, but hundreds of people have made non-changeable plans to see their favorite girl perform live."

Robert DeLong, who was scheduled to open for the pair, has not yet publicly responded to the tour's cancelation, as of this writing.

Affected dates can be found below. According to Charli XCX, the pair's Sept. 19 performance in New Jersey will still take place as scheduled.
