The Killers frontman Brandon Flowers, who is currently promoting his new solo album The Desired Effect, says the band anticipates having new music out next year, perhaps even a full album.

"We’re writing—we’re in the early stages," Flowers told NME in a new interview, noting that "in a perfect world" fans should hear new music "at the end of 2016 maybe."

The singer also said the group seems to be in a better place than last cycle, when recording their 2012 album Battle Born. "Everybody wasn’t on board last time," he admitted. "I’m not going to say any names, but we just weren’t 100% for whatever reason."
