The year might be winding down, but SIDEPIECE—the DJ/producer duo of Ricky Mears (aka NITTI) and Dylan Ragland (aka Party Favor) have their eyes fixed on the future.

The duo earlier this month dropped their new single "Feel the Need," an electric new cut which is also a collaboration with Golden State Entertainment, the content arm of none other than the seven-time NBA Champion Golden State Warriors. The song, which is out now via Big Beat Records, will play at the upcoming Warriors games this season at San Francisco's Chase Center, including their Nov. 18 game against the Oklahoma City Thunder, which included a performance by SIDEPIECE.

The pair chatted with Variance recently ahead of their performance at Austin City Limits Music Festival in Austin, Texas. They talked with us about new music, working together and how they sometimes picture their music being played live at a festival while they're making it. They also teased a ton of new music going into 2024, with Party Favor quipping: "We're coming in hot!"
