It appears Megan Fox's time on New Girl has not actually come to an end, as she has reportedly signed on for a major story arc in the show's upcoming sixth season.

According to TVLine, she'll appear in as many as eight episodes, although it's likely her return will be saved for mid-season, because she is currently pregnant with her third child and due any day.

Coincidentally, she was brought on last season to fill in as a temporary roommate for Zooey Deschanel's Jess, while Deschanel was on hiatus due to her own maternity leave.

In last season's finale, Jake Johnson's Nick told Jess he was going to spend the summer in New Orleans with Fox's Reagan, leaving his future with Jess up in the air.

The sixth season of New Girl is set to premiere Tuesday, Sept. 20, at 8:30 p.m. EST on Fox.
