It's official: BROCKHAMPTON has their first No. 1 album.
Their newly released record iridescence has topped the Billboard 200 with first-week sales of 101,000 equivalent album units, of which a majority 79,000 were in traditional album sales. It's a big accomplishment for the Kevin Abstract-led outfit, which last year released their Saturation trilogy.
As we previously mentioned, the group went on hiatus over the summer following Ameer Vann's sudden exit because of allegations of sexual misconduct. They re-emerged in late June with a performance on NBC's The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.
This new album is the first of a trilogy called the best years of our lives. In support of the new project, BROCKHAMPTON will be hitting the road, starting with a performance this weekend in New Zealand.
