It appears Vampire Weekend is aiming to release their new album in the middle of next year.

Industry watcher Hits Daily Double reported Friday the band is ditching their indie label XL Recordings and has signed a deal with Columbia Records, with plans to release their fourth album "sometime around Q2 or Q3 of 2017."

The band’s last two albums, including 2013's Modern Vampires of the City, have debuted at No. 1 on the U.S. charts. This latest record will mark the first since Rostam Batmanglij's departure earlier this year.

Despite the gap between albums, the members of Vampire Weekend have remained active in solo endeavors over the past couple of years. They also performed at multiple Bernie Sanders rallies with the likes of Killer Mike and Foster the People.

A rep for Vampire Weekend offered no comment, but it's worth noting, Hits Daily Double has accurately confirmed Bruno Mars' November album back in May; Justin Timberlake's new single "Can't Stop the Feeling" prior to its release; and Adele's juggernaut record 25 two months early.
