A Blake Shelton-Gwen Stefani duet is not enough for The Voice, as the show will apparently wrap its 10th season later this month with Christina Aguilera performing alongside a Whitney Houston hologram.
According to Entertainment Tonight, a source with knowledge of the show's plans has confirmed the long-rumored digital version of the late singer will make its debut during the May 24 finale.
The report follows recent leaked footage of what appears to be Aguilera rehearsing with the Houston hologram.
When the Voice coach was asked on Monday about the rumored performance, she said she is "sworn to secrecy," adding: "I can't say anything, but I'm very excited about the finale. Very exciting things happening."
As we reported in September, Hologram USA and Pat Houston—who manages Whitney's estate—struck a deal last summer for a hologram version of Whitney Houston to tour internationally later this year.
"The opportunity to share her spectacular gifts with the world again is exactly what I hoped for when I built the hologram business," Hologram USA's CEO, Alki David, said in a statement back in September. "I'm confident we'll create the ultimate celebration of Whitney's amazing artistry."
A rep for The Voice declined to comment.
