While we previously reportedly Keith Urban would top the charts by a slim margin, it was much closer than early figures suggested.

According to Nielsen SoundScan on Wednesday, Urban's Fuse barely edged out a win over The Weeknd's new album, Kiss Land, with 98,000 and 96,000 sold, respectively.

Early reports on Tuesday had indicated that although close, the margin between the two albums would be much wider.

Fuse gives Urban his second No. 1 after 2009's Defying Gravity. For The Weeknd (aka Abel Tesfaye), this gives him his best sales week and highest chart ranking. His 2012 collection, Trilogy, debuted at No. 4 last November with 86,000.

Meanwhile, Janelle Monáe is also having a big week, as her sophomore album, The Electric Lady, doubles on the first-week sales of her debut album, 2010's The Archandroid: Suites II and III. The new LP starts at No. 5 this week with 47,000 copies, while her last set premiered with 21,000.
