Phoenix has confirmed they're already working on a new album.

"The way we tour is pretty unique," vocalist Thomas Mars told Rolling Stone in a new interview. "We go for two weeks, then we stop for two or three weeks. And when we're back, we don't really know how to take vacations, so we usually spend time on the record."

He admitted it's still in the early stages, calling what they have so far "the base of the pyramid ... it could go anywhere."

Guitarist Laurent Brancowitz told Variance back in October that they don't plan on taking as big a break between 2013's Bankrupt! and their next album, explaining that they're "in a different place now as a band. We'll release the next record when it's ready. Last time, we needed the space and the time away. Out of view."
