Zach Braff's Kickstarter-funded film, Wish I Was Here, is set to hit theaters on July 18, premiering in Los Angeles and New York before a wide release of Aug. 1.

The movie, which was acquired by Focus Features, launched at this year's Sundance in January. It co-stars Kate Hudson, Josh Gad, Ashley Greene, Mandy Patinkin and Joey King.

As we previously reported, Braff raised more than $3.1 million from fans to support the production of the film, which is the first to be toplined by a major actor while funded via Kickstarter.
