After his debut week as host of Late Night, Seth Meyers has showcased noticeably fewer musical guests.

According to Billboard, the former anchor of Saturday Night Live's "Weekend Update" is intentionally sticking with his politico/current affairs palette, more or less turning his new NBC late-nighter into an extended version of his previous gig. Therefore, Meyers is going heavy with politics and light on tunes (especially compared to his music-loving predecessor Jimmy Fallon), with a reported weekly limit of just two musical acts.

Of course, that should prove to be an interesting formula in NBC's pursuit of the highly coveted 18-35 demographic, as younger audiences certainly love politics and hate music. Right.
