Now, here's a tech-world acquisition that actually makes sense.
While Twitter's well-documented struggle to expand continues, Re/code is reporting the social media giant may be considering a bid for music-sharing service Soundcloud.
The news comes after Twitter last month closed its much-hyped but failed Music app, which never found traction beyond its buzzy launch.

As Re/code points out, there is a presumably significant overlap between Twitter and Soundcloud's users, as the latter is extremely popular among artists sharing their music on social media.
A deal between the two companies would likely create new opportunities for Soundcloud, which describes itself as the YouTube of music.
