Abel Tesfaye (aka The Weeknd) was arrested over the weekend after allegedly punching a police officer in Las Vegas.

TMZ reports a fight broke out early Saturday morning at a Vegas hotel room. When the officer in question tried to break up the brawl, the singer is said to have punched him in the head.

Tesfaye was arrested and subsequently released on bail.

In better news, the singer has since posted updates to Instagram suggesting he's still busy in the studio.
