Only days before the series finale of NBC's Parks and Recreation, one of its executive producers, Harris Wittels, has been found dead in his Los Angeles home.

TMZ reported and police have subsequently confirmed that Wittels' assistant found the 30-year-old while emergency workers later responded to a call for a possible overdose.

Wittels was also a standup comic, writer on The Sarah Silverman Program and found of the @Humblebrag Twitter account, which was turned into a 2012 book.

Parks and Rec airs its final episode on Feb. 24.
