Prince will host a "Rally 4 Peace" this Sunday (Mother's Day) in Baltimore, where he will perform alongside "several industry superstars" at Royal Farms Arena, as a symbol of support for the city in the wake of recent unrest over the death of Freddie Gray.

The surprise concert was revealed late Tuesday night, with tickets set to go on sale Wednesday (May 6) at 5 p.m. local time on Live Nation.

According to a press release, the goal is for the event to serve "as a symbolic message of our shared humanity and love for one another," with all attendees asked to wear the color gray in a sign of unity and "tribute to all those recently lost in the violence."

Prince is also planning to soon release a song titled "Baltimore," which is dedicated to the city in light of recent events.

A portion of the proceeds will benefit locally based youth charities.
