As they prepare to release the deluxe edition of their sophomore album Coming Up for Air, Dublin rockers Kodaline are also revealing new North American tour dates, which Variance is exclusively announcing.

The trek, which marks the band's fourth headlining stint in America, will take vocalist Steve Garrigan, guitarist Mark Prendergast, bassist Jason Boland and drummer Vinny May through a number of cities such as Nashville, San Diego, Minneapolis, Denver and Cleveland. Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. local time this Friday, the same day the deluxe album releases on iTunes.

Cable music network Palladia this Saturday will also premiere Kodaline’s Live From The Brixton Academy, which was filmed during the band's sold-out show in London.

"We love coming to America," Prendergast says. "We get really excited every chance we get to play. In this case, we’re also going to be playing some places we’ve never been, so that’s great for us."

He also says now that the guys spend about "70 percent of our lives with each other," being on the road in the States will once again challenge the childhood friends to "know when to piss each other off and when to just chill. We're pretty good about it by now though."

Prendergast notes that no matter how long they're on the road, Starbucks is no substitute for their Irish tea. "There’s a brand called Barry’s Tea that we’ve been drinking our whole lives. And I know it sounds super lame," he says as he laughs. "But wherever we are, we can have a cup of tea and it takes us back home for a moment."

The guitarist says the band will be playing songs from both Coming Up for Air and their debut album, 2013's In a Perfect World. But he's quick to point out that they're constantly writing new music.

"We actually wrote some of the songs from the most recent album when we were on tour in America the last time," he says. "That’s what’s amazing about touring the country is that we spend so much time on the bus and in between shows that we end up writing a lot. And then once we feel we have the right songs, that’s when we start recording. We could get to that around the end of the year. It might be a while before the next album, but yeah, great things seem to happen when we’re in America."
