Fans concerned that The Mindy Project might lose steam (or budgets) in its move to Hulu can rest easy, as it appears it's business as usual for the Mindy Kaling-fronted comedy.
Joseph Gordon-Levitt is the show's latest A-list guest star, set to appear in the upcoming fourth season premiere. According to BuzzFeed, the episode is inspired by 1998 romantic comedy Sliding Doors, with title character Mindy in a parallel universe where she is no longer with Danny (Chris Messina) but is instead married Gordon-Levitt's character Matt, a "suave reality show producer."
As we previously reported, the fourth season of The Mindy Project will be split into two chapters and episodes will likely be longer due to the lack of constraints for commercials. The first chapter is expected to premiere sometime later this year.
