Iggy Pop and Queens of the Stone Age's Josh Homme have secretly recorded a new album together, the two musicians revealed Thursday.

The pair revealed in a newly published interview with The New York Times that they began writing and recording last January, with Homme noting they financed the record themselves.

"It was made to be heard—not to be some quirky thing that we did with our own money," said Homme of the album, titled Post Pop Depression.

The LP will be released this March through Loma Vista Recordings, although an exact release date has yet to be announced. The duo are also planning a tour for later this year.
