As the television reboot craze continues, it appears Will Smith is now in discussions for a spinoff of his hit The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air.

TVLine reported Thursday that Smith is in the very early stages to produce a revival series of some kind via his production arm Overbrook Entertainment. His involvement would be solely as producer not actor.

Because details are still being finalized for an official pitch, it was not immediately clear if the project would be a complete remake (like CBS's Hawaii Five-0) or an actual revival series, continuing off from the original show (similar to Netflix's upcoming Fuller House).

The Fresh Prince ran for six seasons on NBC before ending in May 1996.

Update: Variety has subsequently reported the project may be a Fresh Prince-like comedy and perhaps not a "straight reboot."
