As he gets ready to drop a new EP, Danish artist Louis Samson (the former lead singer of the duo Julias Moon) is giving fans an early treat in the form of his new single "Plans."

The addictive cut is from his debut project 2 Years 7 Songs, which is out this Friday (May 4) via Universal Music Denmark. Both the song itself and the full EP, which includes previously released tracks "Reflection" and "With You," are premiering today exclusively on Variance.

"'Plans' is a train of thought," he tells Variance of the song. "[It's] about not having enough time with your loved one, but making sure the time you have really counts."

The seven songs on the new EP were written over the last two years, as the title suggests. "Every song captures a certain feeling or state of mind at the time a song was created—and gives a pretty good idea about my life over the last two years," Samson explains, adding: "I think it’s important to see this EP as a collage, more than a collected piece."
