After releasing his new song "With You" earlier this fall, rising singer James Scott has shared his full new album BOYs HURT too. And it's something special.

The very personal, 11-track effort arrived over the weekend and is reflective of the Bronx native's experience growing up in an all-female household. He describes it as his "audio journal," a collection of heartfelt lyrics, voice memos and freestyles turned into songs.

"As the only male in my family, I was taught to be strong for my sisters and I've always held my feelings in," Scott tells Variance of the background for the new project. "But I want to show that it's OK to let out how you feel, and that it doesn't show any sign of weakness. It's about being yourself and comfortable with who you are. It's how I've been feeling lately, letting out thoughts that have been on my mind and being vulnerable."

BOYs HURT too is out now on all digital platforms. It features contributions from Dom Stone, APSP, Justin McElderry, Viko Marley, Twinn, Rhome & JHNHUNTER.
