Nika Roza Danilova (aka Zola Jesus) has released her standout new album Okovi, the followup to her 2014 full-length Taiga.
Following the previously released singles "Soak," "Exhumed" and "Siphon," the full record arrived late Thursday night on streaming platforms, with its officially release on Friday via Sacred Bones.
As we previously mentioned, the record is reflective of a series of dark, personal battles. "I endured people very close to me trying to die, and others trying desperately not to," the singer recently said. "Meanwhile, I was fighting through a haze so thick I wasn't sure I'd find my way to the other side. Death, in all of its masks, has been encircling everyone I love, and with it the questions of legacy, worth and will."
