After promising fans "something new" this week, Dan Vidmar (aka Shy Girls) certainly delivered on Tuesday, as he released a hypnotizing cover of Cyndi Lauper's "Time After Time."

While he maintains the infectious melody of the original, the Portland musician lowered the tempo while draping his version in fluttering signature production, allowing his entrancing vocals to shine. And with all that's wrong with the world right now, the timing couldn't be better.

Shy Girls has also revealed a handful of new fall shows, including stops in Chicago, Detroit and Dallas. Tickets for those dates go on sale this Thursday.
