Jimmy Fallon's ongoing tribute to Prince continued Tuesday when the Tonight Show hosted D'Angelo and some guests for a special tribute to the late singer.

D'Angelo was joined by Maya Rudolph and Gretchen Lieberum (who are together a Prince cover band called Princess) for a cover of "Sometimes It Snows in April," from Prince's 1986 album Parade.

The performance followed Monday night's episode of Tonight when Fallon recalled playing a humiliating game of ping-pong with Prince. He also hosted a special episode of Saturday Night Live over the weekend consisting only of old footage of Prince appearances on SNL over the years.

The "Sometimes" performance was also not the first time D'Angelo covered the Purple One, as he recently delivered a rendition of Prince's "Venus De Milo."
