Kid Cudi has landed another acting gig. The rap artist is set to appear in the upcoming Fox comedy Brooklyn Nine-Nine, which stars former Saturday Night Live player Andy Samberg.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Cudi will play Dustin Whitman, an ex-con that Samberg's character Jake believes robbed a jewelry store in the show's third episode.

The show, created by Parks and Recreation duo Mike Schur and Dan Goor, is already on the hot list for fall television, with other high-profile guest appearances likely.

As for Cudi, this isn't his first round in acting. His previous credits include HBO's How to Make It in America , Fox's Cleveland Show and CW's One Tree Hill. As we previously reported, he is also set to appear in the upcoming street-racing movie Need for Speed, alongside Breaking Bad's Aaron Paul. He finished shooting for that last month.
