Coldplay's Chris Martin says the band is currently in the studio working on their final album together titled A Head Full of Dreams.

Martin told BBC Radio 1's Zane Lowe on Thursday the group began recording the project rather than touring in support of Ghost Stories, which released earlier this year.

"We're right in the middle of it," he said. "It’s our seventh [album] and the way we look at it, it’s like the last Harry Potter book. That’s not to say there won’t be another thing one day, but this is the completion of something. It was great to go from Ghost Stories right back into the studio. Now we’re making things that sound different ... I have to think of it as the final thing we're doing; otherwise, we wouldn't put everything into it ... Then we will go on tour.”
