Foo Fighters will serve as David Letterman's final musical guest for Late Show on Wednesday (May 20), according to Rolling Stone.

Letterman has previously introduced the Dave Grohl-fronted rockers as his "favorite band" and their history on the show spans 15 years, including the host's first episode back from quintuple bypass surgery in February 2000 and a weeklong Foo Fighters residency last October to promote new album Sonic Highways.

At press time, CBS has not revealed nor confirmed any of the anticipated A-list guests for tonight's finale. But executive producer Rob Burnett has promised "a beautiful ending to the show."
